A Fairy tale from Hell?
Earlier on today, as I was browsing through the internet, I saw this news about a teenage US-Indonesian model from Indonesia named Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17 years old had married to Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, 31 years old, which is the prince of Malaysia's Kelantan state last year.
The model once voted as being among Indonesia's "100 Precious Women", and her marriage, to most of the Indonesian, were like a fairy tale, until lately, she has returned to her family in Indonesia with tales of abuse, rape and torture at the hands of a Malaysian prince, saying she had escaped his guards at a Singapore hotel.
She said that her life at the royal palace had involved a "daily routine" of rape, abuse, torture and occasional drug injections that made her vomit blood.
She said she was usually held under guard in her bedroom at the palace and was injected with tranquilisers whenever she complained.
"Sexual abuse and sexual harassment were like a daily routine for me, and he did that every time I did not want to have sexual intercourse," she said, according to The Jakarta Globe daily.
"I could never think a normal man could do such things," she said, adding: "Some parts of my body were cut by a razor."
"I've been treated like an animal. I'm like his property and I was in his room and whenever he wants to play with me he just goes into the room and plays with me. I'm like an object."
After reading this news, it made me think that for certain girls who want to find someone who is good looking, rich, smart and caring, does things always seems so perfect as they would seem on the surface?
It is definately true that when people fall in love, whether is it guy or girl, they tend to lose their ability to think properly. Ironically, we are able to judge and make proper decision when we are the third party, but once we are in a relationship, we are always unable to make proper and right decision because of emotional factors.
Someone you love, till the extent you can die for him or her, that particular person may not even have feelings for you. What ever worse is that if he or she treats you as someone he or she need as a tool or a toy, that eventually hurts the most. What scenario like this happen, you wish all you dreams and fantasy of the relationship were true, but it will be exactly the opposite in the cruel reality.
Do sit down and reflect about ourselves, sometimes, we may just see and judge people, but, we may not be any better or even worse than the people we judge. Do think about that ^^
